About me: I am married to a wonderful man from the UK, for 4 years now. I went on my first trip there in 2004, it is a beautiful place, but I guess I'm just a Georgia girl!I have 3 grown sons and a beautiful granddaughter with big blue eyes. We live in NW Georgia. We also have a manx cat named Iggy, who thinks he is a dog.I am so glad to have found this site, it has kept me busy since March 2004. I am out of the work force from now on, I guess, from a seizure disorder.The first year I sat and felt sorry for myself. Now I am having fun, since I've found things to keep me busy. I have found so many great ideas and visit here every day. I don't have a lot of good space to do fun gardening, meaning HARD, YELLOW Georgia clay! I try, though. I have the space, just the wrong kind!I love mosaics, decorating, and lots of other crafts.My husband holds his breath every day, wondering what I'll come up with for my next project!

Commented: Soot from candles on walls and ceiling That's one reason I never burn candles, I just sit the jar or container on a candle warmer plate & use them that way. Lasts a lot longer, too.

Commented: shortening wooden slat blinds I have 17 windows with 2 in. blinds, I have only gotten around to shortening 2 of those & I've lived here 4 years! It's not really hard & complicated, but it's not fun, & I hate sitting on...

Commented: Need fast help w/front door hardware I really like that scrolly design over the front there, it adds a lot of interest. Is it a metal hanging, or is it painted on?
