About me: Moved into our 950 sq. ft. house in Sept. 2012; we spent the last 3 years building it basically by ourselves. Our prior home (for over 10 years) was a 38' trawler that we cruised from Victoria, British Columbia to Zihuatanejo, Mexico and back.

Commented: Are these counter tops out of date or too busy?? I think they will hide the toast crumbs wonderfully! But on a serious note, I would keep the backsplash very simple (i.e., subway tiles, or simply paint).
