Carolyn did an amazing job helping me with my recent residential remodel. From helping with the pre-project planning to finalizing furniture and fabric choices, she brought her creative ideas and valued suggestions to each phase of the project. First of all I would like to say that it was an extreme pleasure working with Carolyn. I bought an old East Austin bungalow (March 2015) that was built in 1926. If you live in the Austin area, you already know that this is one of the hottest, upcoming neighborhoods in the city. Especially with the amount of growth the city is experiencing. For the most part, many of the homes selling in this area have multiple offers submitted after listing for sale. I was fortunate that my offer was submitted and accepted! The home needed extensive renovations and Carolyn was there day one when my offer was accepted. She was a referral from a prior co-worker and I had a chance to speak with her to give a heads up of what I wanted/was planning to do when i was searching for a home. Once the offer was accepted, I immediately called Carolyn and asked if she would take a look at the property with me. Due to the property needing extensive renovation work and the timeframe, we started bouncing ideas off each other. She listened attentively and intently on some of my thoughts. She provided a lot of value by filling in the gaps on my overall vision of the property versus the smaller details needed to make the project a success. She was also very influential with sending multiple ideas if there was something that I wasn’t completely on board with. She was flexible and provided further depth and understanding of some of her ideas as well. Ultimately, we chose a contemporary look with clean lines and simple, yet vibrant colors to add life back to the home. Carolyn helped with the design of the Kitchen, Living Room, Office, Bathrooms, and Bedrooms. For the most part, she provided guidance on every room on the house including a tailor made design of the Master Bedroom closet. I can’t thank Carolyn enough for her insight and availability. If you are looking for a designer who will learn more about you and incorporate your style of living into the design of your home, I would highly recommend her. She is a pleasure to work with and I will definitely use her services again in the future.

If you are planning to remodel Carolyn Albert-Kincl is an excellent professional designer. Our bathroom and kitchen were looking outdated and worn. We needed a complete redo! I wasn't sure that I couldn't do it myself but having a designer really is a good idea. There are so many decisions to make with any remodel that having someone to bounce ideas off is essential . Carolyn immediately went to work! We visited all of the showrooms and discussed all of my ideas (likes and dislikes) ,she got to the heart of my design ideas.Carolyn organized and coordinated the project with the contractor.She drew professional, to scale designs.I have two beautiful designed rooms that fit my style and the style of the home.We couldn't have done it without her help. Just finished up 2 bathroom remodels with Carolyn's help. They look great! Having the services she provided helped the project move along; choosing the tile, fixtures, hardware, etc. was a breeze! The suppliers she connected me with were so professional,, they gave us great service and prices too! Thanks for another great job, Carolyn.

Carolyn is my kind of girl! She speaks plainly and makes honest suggestions (i.e., don't show an unmade bed on line). I am looking forward to starting my bedroom this weekend. I highly recommend you hire Carolyn Albert-Kincl! I was struggling with the re-design of my master bedroom design choices and trying to work with my current furniture. Within an afternoon together of consultation and shopping, Carolyn's suggestions of paint colors and finishes, wood floor color selection, art, lamps and accessories were perfect. She even found a new chair for the family room - all within budget! Carolyn even followed up and sent fabric samples for an ottoman to reupholster to coordinate with the wall color for the bedroom. She definitely has a gift to find beautiful pieces in the proper scale and design within budget. Carolyn's attention to detail is amazing. She is so professional that I felt like a "high end" client! To top it all off, she is a lovely person to be around.

We've now used Carolyn on two homes with vastly different styles (a) texas hill country and (b) modern contemporary. She brings a wealth of knowledge no matter the style. I credit her with saving us from several huge mistakes we were planning on our first "from scratch" house as we involved her during the design phase. So not only does she bring a great aesthetic to textures, colors and furnishings but she's also a great switch-hitter on the feel of houses and how they are best laid out. We plan on going back again and again on all future projects. You really can't say better about a designer if they are always the "go to" person. Top Notch!

We first became aware of Carolyn's work when visiting a friend's home in the hill country. It was so beautifully done and had so many unique features. Eight years ago, when building a home, we asked Carolyn to help us. She advised us on our overall design from the ground up (tile work, floors, paint, furniture, lighting, etc.), listening carefully to what we liked and didn't. The end product was beautiful! Since then, we have hired Carolyn to assist us in updates in the same home and in updating our daughter's home. Again, we have been thrilled with the finished looks of the homes. Carolyn has many gifts. She especially has an eye for color and for scale. She has also recommended ideas which we would not have thought of, but which have become some of our favorites in our home. We also appreciated that Carolyn is very clear about the costs of her services. She is timely, completely reliable, fair, and has never added charges which were not discussed ahead of time.
