About me: ABOUT US:
My husband and I enjoy participating in the rose world as ARS Horticulture Judges, Consulting Rosarians and Horticulture Exhibitors. I am also an Arrangement Exhibitor.
We grow apx. 350 roses. We are lifetime members of the California Coastal Rose Society. And members of the American Rose Society, Los Angeles and Santa Clarita rose societies.
CCRS:
I am the CCRS Vice President and Web Designer. www.californiacoastalrose.com. We received the 2006 Queen of Local Web Sites Award for our site. I am also an artist, my work can be seen at: www.brenlanders-smithstudio.com.
My husband, Joe received the 2005 ARS Bronze Honor Medal from CCRS for outstanding service for many years.
ROSES:
I named a sport of Aristocrat from our garden, a pink blend miniature rose, in his honor – "Sir Joseph". It was named "Sir Joseph" because he is truly a gentleman, my knight in shining armor and my best friend. The rose is as unique and beautiful as he is. He named a sport of Miss Flippins from his garden when we were dating after me "Lady Bren". Available from Nor’East Miniature Roses 2007. The "Chelsea Brittlyn" rose is named after our daughter - a pink sport of Aristocrat, to be commercially available in 2007 from Nor’East as well.
