Cottage gardens and cottage and farmhouse style homes
My next project: Finishing replacing all the trim in our home with a custom cottage/farmhouse look. Adding a white subway tile backsplash to the kitchen and replacing the counters is what I would be the next "big" project and completing our bathroom is next on our home improvement list.
About me: I started gardening when we bought our first house which is the one I am currently living in since 2006. I have always loved the charm of a cottage style garden and love it's ever changing look from year to year. I also started growing antique roses at the same time. I always thought they were too difficult to grow but after doing my research I discovered antiques and decided to try them. They have become an addiction ever since! I grow mostly Teas, China, Noisettes, hyb Musks, with a few found and shrub roses mixed in. I live just outside Charleston, SC which gives me a long growing season and also the ability to grow a great many plants due to our mild winters. my garden is a long work in progress but I enjoy any time I am able to be in it even if it means just pulling weeds. :)
