About me: I just moved to Apex NC from the Laurel Mountains in central PA. I am looking forward to the extended growing season and the "sunny" plants I can grow here. In PA I grew predominantly native woodland perrenials and shrubs such as trout lily’s, trilliums, chokeberry’s, ferns etc.

My zone is: 8

Commented: Please help me ID this Fern, thank you. Looks like a Christmas Fern (Polystichum acrostichoides) to me.

Commented: Is four-oclock native? Shiow me pic's of it please. Mirabilis nyctaginea is a midwest native to open, dry and or disturbed places. Mirabilis multiflora is the more common mulitcolored perennial that folks grow in their gardens and is not native.
