Today, Houzz announced that a handful of high-quality fixture, decor, and furnishing brands are now available through its trade program, a free, application-based membership service available for design professionals to join. The move speaks to the California-based platform's increasing commitment to the professional design industry, and the quality of the products it provides to interior designers who use its services.

Standing out amid the new pack of offerings are Bernhardt Furniture, Fermob, and Scalamandré; other noteworthy brands include Four Hands, Bend Goods, Cyan Design, Palecek, Hinkley Lighting, and Regina Andrew. Sam Barnes, director of e-commerce at Bernhardt Furniture, said in a statement, “We are thrilled to sell Bernhardt products through the Houzz trade program. Houzz’s robust community of home remodeling and design professionals are using the platform to source and collaborate with their clients. As part of Houzz’s trade program, we can offer them access to our heirloom-quality furniture as a seamless part of the Houzz experience.”

As part of the trade program, interior designers can receive discounts at up to 50 percent. Trade-only products are also available, as is free shipping on all orders that exceed $49. Even more helpful to those running their own business may be the program's dashboard interface, which allows designers to track their own earnings. Hundreds of brands participate through the program, including Missoni Home, Flos, Kohler, and more.

Those familiar with Bernhardt Furniture are likely well aware of its expertise in living, dining, and bedroom furniture. Equally familiar may be Fermob's colorful outdoor seating options, and Scalamandré's pattern-filled textiles. Complementing those offerings are Bend Goods' hand-bent stools, chairs, and more, and the color-saturated accessories created by Cyan Design. And while Palecek specializes in furniture and Hinkley Lighting trades in illuminated fixtures, Regina Andrew deals with both. Reflecting on the grouping, Thomas Clayton, vice president of global trade business at Houzz, noted to AD PRO, "There is something for every project."

Moreover, when asked what drew him to these brands in particular, Clayton pointed to their collective "quality and prestige." As for the decision to expand the company's trade program in general, Clayton reflected, "We value our professional community and are always looking for opportunities to help them build their reputation, get hired, source products, and manage their business."

Of course, that program also ensures that designers get better prices. So for those with clients looking to populate their homes with Fermob's citron-colored bistro seating options or Scalamandré's oft-seen zebra prints, get your memberships at the ready.
