I am passionate about color. And balance. And flow. And functionality. And above all, the experience one has when entering or using a space.

When doing a walk-through on a new project for the first time, I focus not only on the client's wish list and tastes but also on how I can reinvent their home such that when we're done, they can experience it anew. I strive to express a fresh vision on existing spaces while integrating functionality and flow.

I offer Interior Design and Decorating and Project Management Services and have spearheaded over 35 residential and small-commercial projects over the past 18 years. My success is based on the fact that I have an incredible team to provide all aspects of interior design including:

Maximizing the Use of Space
Roberto has done 3 large scale projects for me; my kitchen, my bathroom and the lighting in my apartment. For my kitchen, which happens to be small even by Manhattan standards, he found a way for the kitchen to appear bigger without changing the footprint. It was really a surprise.
As for the lighting, thinking outside the box, he found a way to turn my very ugly, concrete slab ceiling into a cool architectural detail while still creating even lighting throughout my apartment. It looks so amazing that the contractor and building manager are constantly bringing other apartment owners to see it so that the owners approve doing the same lighting in their own apartments.
In addition to enhancing the beauty and atmosphere of my apartment, Roberto designed the space with function in mind! I have more space, much better lighting - and have gorgeous windrow treatments. I am happy.

I am a registered architect in the States of New York, New Jersey and Virginia and since 2011, I have serviced Mr. Lugo’s projects, providing schematic design, design development and construction documents for over twenty residential rehabilitation projects throughout the NYC Metropolitan area. Although unique in their creative style, these projects have had similar scopes of work including full renovations of residential apartments. Each has required full or selective demolition and replacement of finishes, kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room and bedroom alterations, implementation of new fixtures, furnishings, equipment and appliances, varying levels of structural reframing and extensive plumbing and electrical work.
Mr. Lugo has a keen sense of design and a contemporary flair. He is fastidious in coordinating hand in hand with his clients and subconsultants to ensure his projects are in strict compliance with local building codes and ensuring that only qualified, insured contractors are employed in the execution of the work. Insane Attention to Detail
Roberto’s attention to detail is insane. As the plumber who worked on two-bathroom renovations in my home recently said, “You are picky, but Roberto is pickier!” It is his demand for every element of the project to be exact that has everything in our bathrooms be perfect. From the placement of the grout lines to the way vessel sink reflects on the countertop when installed, Roberto considered it all before we even began demolition.
