Where does Decorator’s white by BM fall on the scale?
I don't have time to draw in all the lines but you guys don't need me to do that part any way. At this point you all understand plotting colors on the Color Strategist Color Wheel (CSCW),
This is a downloadable PDF fun sheet - same kind of fun sheet exercise we do in Camp Chroma.
Download the fun sheet here and then you draw the lines - you take a shot at plotting the colors of white on the CSCW.
I added SW Creamy and BenM's Decorator's White to the existing 16 so now there are 18 colors of white.
I did the first one for you as an example.
@Jennifer O'Neill, the contrast between Alabaster and Creamy is going to be very subtle. Technically, the combination works. Altho I typically choose colors farther apart in hue family - not too close, not too far kind of thing.
But that's my personal preference, that's my personal guideline for making an all white color palette. That doesn't mean that Alabaster and Creamy do not work together because, again, technically they work.
I pulled the chips not expecting to like them together but there is something about the color relationship that IS attractive. The fact that there is a healthy bump of Chroma difference of 0.25 between the two is probably why they work.
Egg walls and satin millwork will emphasize what little contrast hue contrast there is - and I think that's a good thing.
I'd love to know how it comes out for you.
