The Magic of Magenta, the Fun of Fuchsia
Did you know that fuchsia and magenta are the same color? I always thought that they were subtly different from one another but in doing some research I discovered that they are actually synonyms for one another. The terms both refer to a purple color that has hints of red or pink in it.
Because of the fact that this is a bright, bold, pinkish-purple color, it tends to be very feminine. It's not something you're likely to see a lot of in a house filled with guys. However, done correctly, it doesn't have to be extra-feminine if that's not your style.
Personally, I am a big fan of fuchsia furniture. I think it brings fun, optimistic energy to the space. For the same reason, I like fuchsia home accessories. Entire walls or rooms of this color are a bit too much for me in most cases but I definitely think they make a great statement for people who prefer them.
