If adults were all like Ms Muffett, and wanted to sit, on a tuffet...any of these would work. BUT, adults being, Adult Size, don't all have 17 inch wide muffetts, and actually could use 24 inches wide, and 24 inches deep, with a backrest behind that, and a cushions, because in addition to inadaquate and uncomfortable for more than 10 minutes, occassionally one might actually sit a toddler on a barstool to color or eat with the family, or play Monopoly at the bar in the kitchen with the family for several hours........and something 10 inches deep and 17 inches wide with no back rest is not the perch for anything but the family Minor Bird or Parakeet perhaps? I have seen stools with antique style tractor metal seats, shaped to sit on and now I have to wonder will they soon be replaced by the seats of a unicycle, one wheel notwithstanding. Chromecraft Barstools.....whereforth art thou? It's not rocket science. A chair whose seat, perches just inches higher than a dining room chair, does not have to cost hundreds of dollars a piece, and there are realms of torture in some of those above who should never be put into production. All barstools do not Tiny House size, need to be, right?

Lol! Good one, redsilver!!
I like arms, even ones that only come partway around, for myself and to help restrain small children.
