Farmerduck,
Sorry I can't help you out any more than comment on what a beautiful flower it has, going by the photos on HMFR. Quilled outer petals with quartered centers on a substantially deep bloom....Austin like, with a twist...beautiful. The blooms seem to nod going by the photos of bush shots.
It is said to have been introduced as a climber, but instead, turned out to be a bush in growth habit. This would indicate vigor to me, a good sign.
Because of its original intro as a climber, I suspect it may be winter hardy as most climbers tend to be. Black spot susceptibility may be evident, as roses from its era, early 1950's, usually are.
Thanks for bringing Blossomtime to my attention. I really like it.
Who sells it?
Moses
