Zip Line
A long cable and a little fearlessness make for a thrilling ride between two points
Cables and pulleys were used long ago to transport supplies and people across rivers or down steep slopes. Playgrounds and backyards are the latest places to take advantage of the daring cable device called the zip line.
A zip line kit consists of a stainless steel cable, a pully, cable clamps and a turnbuckle to tighten the cable.
Gravity allows adventurous passengers to glide freely from the high point to low.
Zip lines can be high and long or short and low; it requires more strength from the user to move the pully at slower speeds.
