I absolutely do not argue online, it is useless. I just love helping people. I do know all the rules, regulations, and standards. I went to school, got the degree, took the licensing exams, etc. Then I met people, real people, living in real houses and I started listening to what they wanted. There is 4’4” between the cooktop area and the sink area. That is plenty of room for two people back to back. In fact, I never place an island and perimeter more than 4’6”, because it unreasonably far. I have had so many clients with OCD and symmetry issues who do not like pendant lighting coming down and a faucet coming up if they were not perfectly centered. That is what I referred to as visually appealing. I am very aware if you walk two inches to the left, you are not centered, but you would still center a painting over a sofa, wouldn’t you? This community has become quite degrading toward one another. The goal is to help homeowners, not tear each other down. We don’t win clients when we do that, we show how hard it is to work with us.
