Great Space Saver: Bedroom Storage You Can Sleep On
Get a bed with easy built-in storage and eliminate some of those plastic bins and dust bunnies
When it came down to choosing a daybed for our nursery/guest room, one thing was clear. The room was only about 7 feet wide, so every piece of furniture had to count. With that in mind, we picked a daybed with three large drawers for storage. Beds with built-in storage have many perks. It's certainly nicer to store your out-of-season clothes in wooden drawers than in plastic bins collecting dust under your mattress. Beds with built-in storage make it so much easier to access your things — there's no reaching in high closets or rifling through bins in the basement. You can get the practical with the pretty if you choose the right bed.
This bedroom feels like it's in a modern treehouse set high in the woods, and the bed keeps the clutter away with two large drawers. Also, the headboard has built-in shelves for displaying books and plants behind it — you wouldn't want anything obstructing that view.
This bed is super-modern in style with its clean lines. There's no hardware adorning the simple wooden drawers below, and the bed almost appears to be floating. It's such a stunning piece!
There are so many clever design features in this bedroom: the raspberry ceiling, the built-in shelves (which take the place of a pair of nightstands), the cozy mix of lighting and the bed frames with architectural drawers that are perfect for extra storage. I'd also love to steal that Moroccan pouf!
This bedroom faced a challenge similar to the one our nursery/guest room space faced: It's an odd shape and there is only one real spot for a bed. The bed's built-in storage drawers freed up space for the homeowners to create a desk and seating area.
A perch by the window is the perfect spot for a nap. This bed's built-in storage can stow away all of the clutter that gets in the way of creating a relaxing space.
The drawer under this canopy bed is big enough to fill with blankets, costumes and toys galore. Alternatively, you can add a second mattress in the drawer for magical sleepover parties.
Let's face it, to keep a kid's room looking this clean, you need to have places to hide the toys. A perfect spot is in the pull-out drawers underneath the bed.
It's nice to have your linens right where you need them. A guest bed with drawers can hold all the extra sheets and pillow shams.
There's so much to love about this space: the whimsical wall decals, the pops of pink and orange, and the modern vibe. Thanks to all of the built-in storage under the DucDuc crib and twin bed, there's also an airy feeling to the room.

This kid's room feels decidedly grown up with its nautical red, white and blue color palette and clean modern lines. Everything can go back in its place thanks to the colorful storage bins.
Stratton Daybed with Drawers & Tufted Cushion Set, Mahogany stain
Most of us don't have a special nook under our stairs that provides a little retreat for naps or mamas playing hide and seek with their little guy. However, this daybed's classic trad lines would work well in many spots in many different homes.
Locker Bed | PBteen
This is the perfect big-boy bed, after he's graduated from tot stage. The locker drawers are fun, and they provide a great spot for stowing away toys.
Matera Bed With Storage
The design of this modern bed is so much more accessible than regular platform beds. I hate having to retrieve anything from under the wooden slats on ours (where we're storing things for now). A gorgeous set of drawers like these makes it a breeze to grab what you need.
