I'm amazed and shocked to see a current program on Ikea prices in Australia compared to the US. Australians are paying 100% more for exactly the same products!

Perth is particularly vulnerable to high prices as it's the most isolated city of its size in the world - and the merchants can get away with higher prices, no matter what their costs. It can get very hot in the summer, and one needs to block some of the glare - especially if no AC. There appear to be other windows with views - perhaps to the south (Northern Hemisphere's "North" facing).
