I know I am late to this discussion, but I agree with Joanne Cannell! First of all: I think all showers should have a hand-held, for kids on a slide bar so it can be adjusted. And the thermostatic valve is not only good to prevent scalding, but it is just very practical!! Every time one turns the shower off and on the water temp goes to its set temp....and of course it is easy even for kids to adjust. My other issue with this bathroom, however pretty, is this: the glass wall is stationary......so how do you reach in and turn on the water without getting wet? (This also goes to the scalding issue: should the water be too hot and painful, who now goes into the hot stream to turn it off? It doesn't look as though it can be reached from outside the shower.) As far as glass showers for children are concerned: I am guessing mom goes behind them and cleans the glass each time after they shower....otherwise that pretty glass will soon look very messy and old....a definite drawback with kids.

I love the combinations you made with the wood, tiles and overall design. World class beauty.
