Captivating Color Combinations for the Home
There are endless ways to combine color -- that's half of the fun! But, at some point you need to narrow in on a few options if you are going to make progress. When selecting a palette you want to consider the mood you want to evoke before immediately picking a color.
Some color combos are exuberant and in your face, while others recede and take a little more attention to really appreciate. Go for bright, saturated colors if you want a lively, cheerful space. Opt for more muted neutrals if you want a more calming space (and if you tire of bold colors easily).

Dove gray and yellow = Fabulous. This room is a great example, using a soft palette with little punches of yellow throughout the space.
Pink and green: This isn't for everyone, but can create a lot of movement and life in a room.
Mixing neutrals, such as taupe, gray, and ivory is even better with textural wood elements.
Black and white is crisp and fresh in this cottage. Love the walls.
A spin off on black and white -- just add gray.
Greens and blues mixed with plenty of white. This space looks coordinated without being too matchy.
Charcoal gray gives the light blue accents a more masculine feel.
