Guest Picks: Cute and Clever Egg Cups
Keep soft-boiled eggs stable and in style with an egg cup for every personality
I know little of the history of the egg cup, a gap in knowledge I'd like rectified given the breadth of egg cup cleverness that exists. The egg cup just doesn't have a strong presence here in the States, certainly not the honor it receives elsewhere, like in England. We like our hard-boiled eggs. They're easy to crack open and eat when cold, with no need for a place to rest them. But soft-boiled eggs with the accompanying toast soldiers are rarer on the breakfast table. What a shame that is. My mom grew up with her eggs and soldiers, and we always had egg cups in the cupboard, so I have a bit of a fondness for them. I have a few myself, but none as awesome as these collected here. — Meaghan from The Decorated Cookie
