I went to an authorized distributor showroom today and had a unit demonstrated to me. The cooktop itself doesn’t take long to heat up but depending on the type of countertop, it will take longer for the heat to radiate through.
The highly recommended countertop for best performance is porcelain. Granite is not recommended unless your plan is to use the surface as a slow cooker.
If you do want to use the granite be sure to reduce the debth to around 1cm and even then, it may not heat through fast.
The price ranges are $1800 for the 2-burner and $2800 for the 4-burner.
