A smaller terrace off the back that coordinates with the front porch. I like the weight of this - feels substantial but not oppressive. Always been a fan of arches. Integrate these ideas with passive solar orientation / thermal mass of terrace. Would love to see that blue stone carried to interior floors to bring the outside in.
Far too fancy, but an efficient use of a very small space. I could see this as a guest room / study / writing studio, but I'd have to have much lighter & brighter, fun & a bit quirky style.
This too. Cute house & garage. (How about 3 of these arranged around a central play lawn / courtyard area? One for the working workshop and one car; one for the main living/sleeping/dining area for 2, and one that's a guest house/studio? Hmmmmm..... potential?
I think I could live here.
le cute
same kitchen different view, not a Best Buy appliance department
I'm not a fan of the ultra-modern sleekness, but I do like how the appliances don't show.
multiple levels, half-walls for a semi-secluded feel, noise reduction, etc. I also like closed wood stoves vs. drafty fireplaces. Seems more efficient for heat, cleaner looking, less hearth required, and with glass doors can also see the flames.
steel beams, exposed stuff, quasi industrial vibe
I think I just love everything about this, from the hinges to the green to the seating and stone porch to the little shabby garden spot just outside the door. How easy! Friendly, relaxed, functional (!) and un-fussy, with a bit of quirk to keep it from being staid.
A partially slatted off laundry space - this is intriguing. Not too closed-off, not wide open, either.
This is A Door A Bell!!
rooms? who needs rooms?
just interesting... this wouldn't fit in any neighborhood around here, though.
too dadgum cute! What a sweet little getaway spot
I like these windows, and the overall retro simplicity
digging this roof -
Outdoors, indoors, what's the diff? Sweet.
This, but much less "done," A true working space that doesn't focus so much on looks but function.
The scullery! This is what I want off the kitchen. Add a sink & a double desk space and this is where we'd spend 75% of our time.
Charming!
Wrap-around with a knee-wall railing. LOVE
charming cottage look
I like the look of a Mansard also. It has it's own sort of charm - like a jaunty cap atop.
I like the idea of a butterfly roof for water collection, as long as the seam is not over the dwelling area. Here, it seems to be one shed over the house and another over the porch, with the roof seam *outside* the outer wall. Well-thought.
This look is absolutely charming & perfect.
I just love this feel. what a sweet little space.
I really like this vibe. Sunny, uncluttered (as if!) simple, plain & functional. This would be the working space, not the entertaining space. Love that open wall!
I could do this in the real house.
efficient use of awkward spaces? Yes, please.
Steel-fab? I could do it. Imagine the rain!
Love, love, love. Coming home to this would be perfection.
I LOVE THIS HOUSE!!!!
Little, little. This is charming.
same house - clever storage without making the space feel smaller than it has to
Not that I'd ever do it, but this is amazeballs
