I am finally done with my remodel! Here is my CoreTec Dakota Walnut in my kitchen and living room - cabinetry is Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace...
My one regret is that the planking had to be laid cross-wise down the length of
the kitchen instead of the long way. But the joists surprisingly
follow the long dimension of the kitchen (up and down in the photo) so
the installer told me the planks had to laid be crosswise so they wouldn't
separate.
Also adding a photo of the top of the stairs where the Core-Tec butts up to the top step of our split-level. I had ordered the Dakota Walnut flush stair nose from US Floors, but it was honestly very fake looking, and a quick test for scratches showed it would be scratched beyond repair in no time. My flooring installer fabricated a stair nose from oak (he also installed the oak treads on the stairs) and I stained it to match the Dakota Walnut only slightly darker. It is *almost* flush (sits up above the flooring by just a fraction of an inch, not a trip hazard) and looks fantastic, IMO.
SO glad I chose the Dakota Walnut, which is very neutral/classic both in color and style. I think it will age well. It's been installed for several months now, with no issues with scratches or spotting.
