Other Gesneriads
For my other Gesneriads that are not Streptocarpus, nor African Violets, but are various Primulina, Columnia, and so forth as I have time to post a few photos.

Little leaf pot of petrocosmea barbata giving me a pleasant surprise when I peeked into the baggie today. The leaf babies are over due to separate in there! ;)

Sinningia 'Amanda's Penny' in bloom showing off a magnificent coral colored flower. The bloom measures approximately 1 inch wide by about 2 inches long. I am eager to try this one in my hybridizing.

Freshly harvested tiny sinningia seed. The hybrid cross I made here is sinningia 'Stones Yula' (mother) pollinated by sinningia 'Gabriel's Horn'. For scale, the seed pot at right is about 3 or 4 mm wide.

Primulina 'Naine Argent' - very similar hybrid to 'Hisako' but more rounded, somewhat darker leaves. Overall tidier appearance so far.

A baby Primulina 'Deco' shown here starting to obtain it's adult foliage pattern. I have observed these to grow with paired leaves or trios.
Q
Photo
Primulina sinensis 'Hisako' - a handsome hybrid with strongly patterned leaves and more jagged leaf edges. Lavender tubular flowers with yellow-orange throats.
Q
Photo
Primulina Yungfuensis - this one seems to love to sucker! I could like stronger contrast on the pattern but we'll wait and see how it grows. Haven't seen any flowers yet.
Q
Photo
Primulina Loki - one of my favorite prims, this one has beautiful patterning on the leaves and red-purple stems.
Q
Photo
Primulina brassicoides - my adult plant shown here starting to mature and producing first flower stems beneath the leaves. Looking good!

Mini Sinningia 'Ozark Jumbo Sundae' is a little fancier two tone pink blooming with faintly frilly petal edges.
Q
Photo
Mini Sinningia 'Stones Yulia' is I think an older classic hybrid. The simplicity of the flowers are a nice contrast to the fancier hybrids and it blooms heavily.

Mini Sinningia 'HCY's Aries' showing off it's first flower with more buds about to open. A very cute double.

Mini Sinningia 'Los Angels' x 'Al Wojack' showing a first flower. Not bad!

Mini Sinningia 'Jacob' with the lovely large spots on the lower petals.

Primulina 'Loki' babies ready to be repotted and grow on before the confined roots decide it's time to bloom!

Kohleria 'Tropical Knight' growing well for me wicked and in full morning sun.

Columnea 'Early Bird' showing a hummingbird's view from below the flowers.

A young cutting of Columnea 'Early Bird' in flower. Plenty ready to repot to a small hanging basket. The hummingbirds will love it!

Primulina taminana - recently reclassified, this is a really easy one to grow. It has leaves similar to an African Violet but flowers more like a small streptocarpus.
Q
Photo
Endangered Corytoplectus cutucuensis seedlings in a flat. I had an outstanding germination rate!
Q
Photo
Corytoplectus cutucuensis in flower showing the red-orange calyx. The actual flowers are pale orange and the fruit that forms later looks like a large black pearl, filled with seeds. Look at those leaves!

Another view of the micro-mini sinningia pusillia in bloom in the small terrarium.

Micro-mini sinningia pusilla shown from above. First bloom after recent planting into a small fish bowl terrarium.

Mini sinningia 'Formosa Faded Maple' showing her first flower since I got the tuber. Nothing faded about it. Very intense double pink.
Q
Photo
Sinningia 'Gabriel's Horn' - first flowering on a young tuber. Very profuse and very intense red.

Primulina 'Aiko' - first flower starting to open on a young plant showing how the stem and calyx may darken if there is high light.
