How much wall space is there to the left of the window? Is it enough to add an upper cabinet? If there is, you could increase the width of the upper to the right. Maybe that addresses your concern about randomness.
I'm a visual person so I need to see how things might look before I decide. If you are, too, maybe these rough mock-ups will help you.
Widened upper cab on right, additional upper cab on left.
No upper cab.
Upper cab brought down to counter. You'll want to make sure losing counter here doesn't crowd your sink more than you're comfortable with.
Shelves added to wall left of the window (same plane as the range wall).
Shelves on either side of window. They will be fairly narrow so for display only.
I think if you find a way to add visual weight to the left side of your window or lighten the visual weight of the upper on that wall (glass doors would do it, IMO), that might create balance for you. Does that make sense?
