I have 2 regrets from our recent build.
I dislike my induction stove, with the controls on top. If something boils over, and hits the control panel, the entire cooktop turns off. Very aggravating, plus the vibration of certain pots can make a horrible sound. I much prefer gas or propane.
Most would disagree with me, but I am not a big fan of the open concept that is so popular right now. I should have put big pocket doors in the openings between my great room and kitchen. It is nice to have some flow, but sometimes it would be good to be able to block out noise and smells from the kitchen.
One LOVE is my pantry shelves. One side has deep cupboards, and we made one side with narrow shelves up to the ceiling. The things like apricot schnapps fit nicely way up high, and everything can be seen at a glance.
