Driveway, Walkway, Patio, Steps
Hmmmm.... Crisp Architects There are many pros for having a gravel driveway. They are popular in rural areas because they require little maintenance, maintain the traditional look of the home, and can last a long time since water passes right through it as opposed to concrete or asphalt which will sink and crack.

Exterior Applications Masonry materials are great for using in the garden, on patios and on porches, because they won't deteriorate like wood or plastic. If you use brick as a paving material, make sure the bricks are paver bricks. Many reclaimed bricks will crack if exposed to freeze-and-thaw cycles in direct contact with the dirt. Though most buildings have mortar holding the bricks, blocks and stones together, mortar is not necessary for many outdoor applications. The garden is a great place for dry-stacked stone walls and paver patios where the gaps are filled with sand.
Very nice.....but very expensive?
Stamped concrete - just can't compete with natural stone. Beautifully done.
Beautiful home.
Very nice patio....home is berautiful
Like this!.....bluestone paver?
Like this if it IS stamped concrete - like the light color - smoother, not so busy look!
Like the simiplicity of this pattern - color & grout not bad either.
Nice patern - stamped concrete
Colors may work....stamped concrete.
Like the look of this stamped concrete - pattern (slate) and color and grout
Too busy for driveway but smaller area (walkway application) might be OK. Why I saved it.....precautions were taken in this application by adding a "grid of control joints was used to avoid any cracking that could have appeared over time."
LIke this job - well done - very realistic for stamped concrete
Stamped Concrete.....
Teakwood sandstone flagstone.....nice.
This is very well done......"Black Star" gravel (in Houston).
Pea gravel used in permeable walkway project in Calif. A) Dug down far enough to allow for thickness of reclaimed stones & allow the height to align with the finish elevation(5" on this project in CA). B) Next lay geotextile blanket C) Brought in apprx 2" sand to fill in the underside of the coming stone. D) Laid stone E)Once stone in place, filled gaps w/pea gravel and a little sand to help lock gravel in place and control pea gravel migration.

Love grass walkways; where appropriate and practical.
