Corytoplectus cutucuensis
A seedling photographed at the end of December, shown here with first calyces forming. It has many roots reaching into the air out of the soil because it has been kept domed while wicked on flats. Moved to larger pots, the roots get buried back into the soil and I ease them out of the domes to acclimate to open shelf growing (still wicked as they like to stay damp and warm).
Corytoplectus cutucuensis - This is an adult plant at the end of it's life cycle, more than a year old and starting to droop. Old leaves removed, brown tips can be trimmed to keep it tidy. It is in a 3 inch pot and stands about 6 inches tall by 6 inches wide - up to 8 or 9 inches if the leaves were fully extended. You can see new leaves around the base so soon I'll cut the top off (tip cuttings are rooted easily) and allow the growth around the base to make a new clump in a larger pot.
Corytoplectus cutucuensis seed freshly collected and dried. It is very small but not nearly as small as some gesneriad seed, and far larger than most orchid seeds.
