For some reason the veining effect of Cambria Summerhill is much more pronounced in photos than it is when seen in person or installed. Photos imply the veins overpower the rest of the pattern. It doesn't at all. We were concerned with this until we saw a whole slab of it at a local dealer. We got it and we love it. Summerhill is somewhat busy (subjectively I would give it a 5 on a scale of 10 in busyness). So I think it looks better with light colored cabinets and light colored plain backsplash (both white in our case). What doesn't show on photos of Summerhill is the beautiful detail and variation in the rest of the pattern, and the subtle sparkle in the veining itself. Here are a couple of pictures of our installed Cambria Summerhill countertop. But I think the pictures don't do it justice.
