EXTERIOR - Accessories
Would like to duplicate your fence style in a small area of yard. - Please tell me what type of wood and anything that might be helpful. We have a "no fence" rule in our subdivision. I have a small dog. Neighbor has 2 big watch dogs. I want a small area that protects my dog right off the back of the house near the kitchen. This looks ideal. Comments please. Thank you! Like 1 Comment PRO Kirkpatrick Design I believe we used standard 1x8 cedar fence boards w/ the bevel cut off the ends. Put posts every 8' & staggered the boards & stained it.

Stone Retaining Walls "KellyBaron" Landscapers - To obtain the look of a dry stack wall and have some retaining properties, we typically start by pouring a concrete footing. We then begin stacking the stone, as the wall rises we pour a solid concrete wall behind the stack stone reinforced with re-bar, grouting back of stones into new concrete wall. This will lock the stones into place and at the same time achieve the dry stack look. Hope this helps with your wall.

Here asphalt is used with a white (concrete?) trim.

EXTERIOR DOOR - WOOD - STAIN: NO VARNISH IN THE LIQUID (unlike MINWAX) - BETTER CONTROL OF THE FINAL COLOR & DEPTH. The website is www.mohawk-finishing.com. Sorry, but I can't remember the exact color of the stain. However, the brand is MOHAWK. It is a VERY high quality stain and is the ONLY stain I now use on my higher priced homes. What makes the stain so good is IT HAD NO VARNISH IN THE LIQUID (unlike MINWAX) - BETTER CONTROL OF THE FINAL COLOR & DEPTH. The website is www.mohawk-finishing.com.
