Get Comfortable: An Ode to the Sofa
On a chilly winter day, there’s little that’s more appealing than sinking into a soft sofa with a good book or movie. That’s not to say, though, that sofa’s serve only one (comfortable) purpose – or that all sofas are created equal. Some are built for comfort, some for style, and some provide multiple functions within a space.
Whatever their purpose, though, I love sofas. Here are a few of my favorites:
Whatever their purpose, though, I love sofas. Here are a few of my favorites:
Doesn't this sofa look so inviting? It's soft without being sloppy - and I love the combination of the cool blue and bright pink.
These green sofas are my new favorite color. I love how they bring the outside in - and how they contrast with the red columns.
This crazy gray sofa is daring and avant-garde. I'm not sure if I'd have the nerve to put it in my living room, but I love the statement it makes.
This purple-fuschia is so surprising and gorgeous in the all-white room. The furniture also looks extremely comfortable, but the clean lines and fresh color keep it crisp.
I love the idea of this little sitting area in the bedroom. It's a great use of space that would otherwise be wasted, and it warms the room up even further.
I just think this room is so pretty. It's also obviously comfortable and lived in, though - look at how inviting those pillows are.
I love outdoor sofas and I am incredibly jealous of everyone living in a climate that allows them to use an outdoor living room year round. This crisp white sofa contrasts perfectly with the deep blue of the water.
Who needs furniture with a view like that? This simple white sofa is attractive but it keeps attention where it belongs - out the window.
