Storage in Small Kitchen
If only there were a place to put this organizer!
Here’s another smart take on this idea: a pullout chopping block (in place of a typical drawer) positioned above a waste pullout, with a simple hole to allow for trimmings to be swept directly into the bin. A great option for small kitchens, as the whole chopping station can be closed away when not in use, and the main counter can still be used for other things.
Unfortunately, there is not enough room for this cabinet.
Although I want something much taller than this unit, I like the style with the half post of turned work applied. Keep this unit in mind for style, but keep looking.
Look for a roll out shelf unit 81"h. x 29" w. x 10" d. If it is not available, consider making such a unit or having a sturdy bookcase made. Then stretch a tapestry panel over the front side or find a mirror for it. It should be sturdy enough to hold canned goods.
If this cabinet like cover hides the microwave and folds down to make a sturdy shelf for heated foods, it could be helpful in some areas. Then again, I neither have room for or nor want to have a panel going the opposite direction.
Window wishing!
I still believe that automobile paint should be heat resistant enough on my hood and oven door since cars take heat from sunshine and from engines. Sherwin Williams offers such paint only in black and white.
Since I cannot recarpet my kitchen with as fine quality as I already have, I am considering cleaning and staining it so I can put down an Oriental rug I already have snd love. Maybe then the dresser could go in the area between the kitchen and dining room somehow, and I still could use the kitchen table. There is not the room I need and want.
This is so pretty but not possible here. More mirrors and light will help.
Oh, to have this much space would be so helpful!
There is no place to add a drawer, and it is challenging to find a place for a trash can.
Although the kitchen shown has space used above and below the wall oven, my stone chimney houses pipes and insulation. A platter on a shelf if it were secured is about all the chimney could accommodate.
How could this feature be added to a small kitchen?
