Shades of Grey in the Bedroom
We love grey in the bedroom (and we’re not talking about the book). It’s the season’s newest neutral and it makes any space feel polished, clean, and calm. Going all grey is the sleekest way to update your master suite. To keep it from looking drab or monotone, incorporate shades of both light and dark grey. We’ve rounded up some our favorite pieces from the Houzz Shop to help you get the look.

Dark GreyDark grey reminds us of stormy skies, which instantly makes us want to curl up in bed. Try a deep shade on your bedding or dresser and nightstand instead of going all the way to black. With such a dark color in your room, hang at least one large mirror to help reflect light and create the look of a larger space. A dark rug is also a great way to ground the room and—bonus!—you won’t have to vacuum it as often as a light colored rug.
Light GreyWhen mixing shades of grey in the bedroom, a good rule of thumb is to use a lighter shade 70 percent of the time. This will keep your space from feeling too dark and will also add to that fresh, calm look you want in your sleeping space. Or, choose light grey for the bigger pieces of furniture—like your bed—and use a darker shade for accent pieces.
