Create A Yoga & Meditation Space
If you’re a yogi, you know how important it is to make time for practice. For those days when you just can’t get to class, we love the idea of creating a dedicated yoga and meditation spot in your home. Whether you have a whole basement you can transform into your very own studio or just a small corner of the living room, you can design the perfect space for practice.

Mindful & ZenOnce you’ve got all your equipment in place, it’s time to create a calming atmosphere for mindful practice. If you’re working with a small space, start by defining your area with foam tiles or a room divider. With a special spot cordoned off, you’ll feel like you’re a world away. No matter the size of your “studio,” a full-length mirror is a must. If you’re in a small corner it will make it feel much bigger and you’ll be able to see the progress you make. Plants and fountains are tranquil additions while soft lighting and a comfy corner chair bring everything together.
Let’s Get PhysicalYou can’t practice yoga without the basics. Get a yoga mat you can keep here all the time—don’t bring it to class. When your mat is ready and waiting for you, you’ll be more likely to practice. You’ll also need blocks and a comfy floor cushion for meditation. If you have room, a ballet bar, foam roller, and meditation alter will take your mindful workout to the next level.
