Dining and Side Chairs
The pedestal chairs designed by Eero Saarinen in 1957 were meant to eliminate, in his words, the “ugly, confusing, unrestful world” of legs underneath chairs and tables. Today, his Tulip designs stand the test of time as standard-bearers of modern furniture design. The metal mesh chairs designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952 combine modern industrial design with versatility in mind. The MR side chairs, inspired by fellow Bauhaus master Marcel Breuer, are some of the earliest steel designs by Mies van der Rohe.
Dining Tables
Saarinen’s pedestal tables were created with the same objective in mind as their counterpart chairs: a graceful and clean design underneath the tabletop. Likewise, the tables designed by Warren Platner in 1966 addressed the same design issue and incorporate a graceful and flowing base.
Side Tables and Lounge Chairs
The Womb chair was designed by Saarinen in 1948 as a chair that could be easily curled up in, and remains one of the most comfortable and stylish loungers ever made. Mies van der Rohe realized his Barcelona lounger in 1929. Despite its vintage, it remains one of the ultimate modern furniture must-haves.
•A Did someone call the county?
I called the title company and they said the letter of satisfaction gets sent from the mortgage company to the county.
I called the county and they said it should be on file at the property records area of the Hastings Government Building.
I was going to drive out there today after work.
Are you saying it's not there and I shouldn't bother?
