Hiding AV components
Great storage wall for a studio
media unit: added by renfroedesign, Minimalist Entertainment unit, http://www.parisrenfroedesign.com ; Using an IKEA cabinet base, I created custom slider doors using Rosewood veneer and aluminum mesh. The rear cabinet is skimmed with a gray concrete like plaster, which houses the surround speakers and LCD tv. The back panel actually hangs on the wall, straddling the lower cabinet. This allows the client to conceal all components and wiring without having to open up the wall. It also gives the room an extra feature element. The whole project was less than $1000, including delivery and installation(client supplied the base cabinet.)
