What, you think my Blue Bayou is not gorgeous, Carol? It's lucky to be alive, I guess. No, I'm not buying anymore climbers unless you want to come to Boise and climb ladders for me. Another new rose being touted in the latest Garden Gate magazine is Eau de Parfum Bubbly, an odd name for a champagne colored fluffy rose a la Augusta. I think Springhill is selling it this year. Garden Gate mag was full of raging new hot colored annuals and perennials. Thanks about Boscobel, a dependable, fun rose. I meant to tell you how much I like your entry for rose season winner, and now I can't remember its name, but I looked it up last year after seeing your eksample. Very lovely and with an equally lovely scent. I'd better visit that thread again.
Susan, we always have a bumper crop of basil and use it for months. Toward the end of the season, I let most of the plants bolt and bloom. There are always smaller new plants to use growing under the flowering ones. Finally, the whole whiskey barrel of basil freezes and out it all goes for the year. I hate to see the end of my basil. Brother Cadfael and Royal Bonica--not BC's best year by far because of the heat 2022.
