The Garden - BED B
GERANIUM 'ROZANNE.' A true workhorse of the garden. It's beautiful, blooms clear to hard frost, sprawls unobtrusively through its neighbors, and a real winner in every way. I have it in full sun until about 2PM here in Oklahoma. Oh, it never seems to be bothered by the ever- present bugs, either. I couldn't be more happy with it.
HEUCHERA 'CHRISTA', planted early June 2015. This is a pretty little heuchera. I wanted it because it is supposed to be peach colored but it doesn't look so much like that to me. At a height of 8-10 inches, it is probably going to be too short for the spot I placed it in, though. That spot gets full sun until 1-2 pm. I keep trying to find a coral bells variety that can stand up to our summer heat and humidity but with less than ideal results. I thought ''Christa's' villosa parentage might be the answer but we will wait and see. It's only the end of June and already there is quite a bit of leaf burn. I am sure it would thrive in a shady spot, where I think it would be beautiful but I have no full shade. I'm beginning to think there are no coral bells that can take even half a day of Oklahoma summer sun and will have to give up the idea of coral bells in my garden. (I do have one 'Mocha' coral bells planted in the same area that is doing pretty well, though, albeit with a little leaf burn.)
