I don't see anything odd about the range layout, as long as it's centered on the windows/wall. You might eliminate the upper cabinets on that wall unless you really need the storage.
Seeing that the doorway on the upper left leads to the pantry, and isn't a walkway from another room, is not a problem either. Since you have a walk-in pantry, you probably don't need floor-to-ceiling pantries on the wall opposite the island. In that case, I'd probably flank the window seat with bookcases.
But I just LOVE window seats! I have two in my primary residence and one in my vacation home :)
Also what can help you is for your designer to draw elevations of the walls so you can get a better idea of what each wall will look like.
