Guest Picks: How Suite It Is
I wouldn't bother with a tablecloth over this stunner. Perfectly sized for dinner for two or to hold photos of my beloved. But, more than likely, it will serve as a perch for the cat. Sigh.
I wouldn't even dream of going out on the town without first getting a glimpse of myself all dolled up. (Note to manufacturer: If this mirror offered the 10 lbs. thinner option, you wouldn't be able to keep up with production.)
Of course, custom rules, but these heavier-weight, lined drapery panels in 50" or 100" widths keep costs down. Summer breeze, no extra charge.
Okay, how gorgeous is this capiz-shell pendant? You'd never want it in the family room with Junior and his lightsaber, but in the bedroom? Perfection! The soft glow and even softer price will lull you into dreamland.
Who wouldn't die for a fireplace in the bedroom? I wouldn't even care if it worked as long as it was this pretty.
Love the simplicity and graphic style, with a touch of turquoise and a zinnia.
I don't usually get too worked up over area rugs, but this Safavieh hand-knotted rug in soft ice-blue with light lemon gold has me in a frenzy! I see it over a whitewashed pine floor, occasionally accented with cute little dust bunnies.
If there was ever a chair that whispered, "Welcome to my boudoir," well, this would be it! Of course, if your chair whispered to you with regularity, you probably wouldn't be around long to enjoy it, if you catch my drift.
I can think of nothing more reminiscent of old Hollywood style in the bedroom than this mirrored chest — unless you consider George Clooney, Johnny Depp, or Bradley Cooper old, that is.
I would never, ever tire of this bed! Look at the cane! And the painted finish! And the awesomely turned legs! Wait, what? Does this mean I'd stay up all night looking at it?
The next time you complain about not finding the perfect lamp, well, shame on you — you can customize your own and have it in your hot little hands in two weeks! Choose the shade, the base, the finial, the shape and color. I absolutely love each and every shape, color and size, but it's probably not a good option for the indecisive.
Saturated color in the bedroom is so passe. A high-quality, chalky matte finish in the perfect "bedroom blue/gray" tone has eluded me — up until now. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that this shade will probably, most likely, hopefully put an end to the daily paint test swatches and I can get on with my life. We'll see.
Okay. I think this new Anna French fabric is my current favorite. Until five minutes from now, that is, when my new favorite will probably have a nubby texture and be blue.
This blue, nubby texture may just be my absolute favorite! For reals. Kinda, sorta. Okay, fine. I can't decide. Sue me.
I love wallpaper and wisteria, so whoever decided to combine the two and save me the trouble of figuring out how to grow wisteria indoors and attach it to the walls in a consistent pattern deserves a thank you note.
I'd love to have these sheets in white. Crisp pleated ruffles and classic elegance with a side of charm — nothing could be finer than fine linens.
This bench would be great for slipping on your silk-stockings... in the 1940s. For me, this bench would probably hold yesterday's laundry — but it would do it so beautifully!
Okay. Words are not necessary here. Let us all just gaze, shall we? (Of course, when placing my shoes and bags in the cubbies, I'd be shouting, "YOU get the Jimmy Choo's, and YOU get the Burberry, and YOU get the Louis," in true Oprah style!)
Thank goodness somebody finally decided that gaudy satin floral pattern does not a pretty mattress make! This is truly a bed made for dreaming, with natural materials available in almost any color. Hand-crafted and adored. Next: More guest blogger product picks
How generous of Suzanne Kasler to design a bedside table large enough to hold trashy novels, a reading lamp, a full dinner tray and a remote! Of course, my secret chocolate stash will also fit perfectly in the roomy drawer.
