I’m reading Northern Lights by Nora Roberts. DH bought it while we were on our Alaska/Yukon trip. It’s definitely more along the lines of her J.D.Robb books, having a lot of mystery, adventure, and realistic descriptions of life in the small, more isolated towns of Alaska. As well as wonderful descriptions of the terrain there. No shrinking violet main female character in need of being rescued by some hero! She’s one very smart, very tough, a live-on-my-own-terms individual! The main male character is multidimensional and very interesting. DH loved it and, at page #219 out of #658, I am, too. Her character development is good, as usual.
I do have to add that I’m grateful for DH suggesting I keep a ”cheat sheet” with brief but important information and dates about each of the many characters. I’m now very glad that I did!
