Light fixtures and additional cabinetry was added by the couple. Some of the original cabinets were painted white, while new countertops were added. Wood ceiling beams were added to add warmth to the space.
“We added dutch doors to the back sitting room, which used to be the ‘maid’s quarters’ in the original home” shares Liz. “The dogs hang out there now and we wanted them to not feel closed in and be able to hear us in the kitchen” she adds. A chalkboard writing area is added to the space for a fun twist.
The master bedroom is elegantly filled with a mixture of blue and golds with pops of red. All fixtures and floors were added to the space during the home’s renovation. Textiles are used liberally to create an inviting space. Low VOC custom paint was used throughout the house. On the other side of the home office is a music area. “We regularly have large get togethers where we will sometimes have a piano player come in for entertainment,” says Liz.
