Unconventional Headboard Ideas
Are you bored of the ubiquitous upholstered headboard? Think outside of the box and get crafty. Not only will a DIY headboard creation add a unique touch to your bedroom, it can also be very cost effective and green (if you re-use items).
Take a trip to the local thrift store or flea market, making sure you bring an open mind. There are endless materials and existing furniture pieces that can be turned into a headboard with a little creative thinking. Folding screens, slabs of reclaimed wood, and vintage fabrics and textiles are all great starting points.

DIY headboard idea: Cover plywood panels (wrapped in foam or batting) with various printed fabrics to create an upholstered wall.
