The Kitchen Sink
A deep and beautiful sink surrounded by quality materials (love the wall tiling) and a window view. In the absence of a dishwawher, single-sided sinks (rather than a side for soaking and a side for rinsing) make for one more clean-up step. This house undoubtedly has a dishwawher. And, besides, what a great place to do work at anyway.
Another take on the island kitchen sink. It places the chef in the heart of the kitchen and eliminates having to cross the kitchen or work in an L-shaped kitchen. Here the chef need only turn around to access everything. The island provides an amazing amount of space considering how narrow it is, and how open it keeps this space.
This sink is such a beautiful (and useful) component of this kitchen. The size allows for versatility. Piling in dishes after a dinner party and keeping the rest of the kitchen clean allows hosts to entertain all the night without worrying about an accumulating mess spread throughout the kitchen. The storage beneath the sink is also useful and fantastic. The tin trash bin is perfect.
Without a dishwasher, an open countertop nearby makes room for drying dishes. Here, the dried dishes need only be lifted to their place on the open shelving above. Love the subtle but decisive colors.
