Guest Picks: Boost Your Bar Cart
Accessorize a bar area with glasses, trays, art and more to make your next party a hit
Bar carts have made a comeback, and I'm definitely a fan. I just brought home a new one, and I'm doing my research on how to get it stocked and ready to entertain. There are a million ways you can dress up a bar cart, but whatever your style, don't forget the essentials. Here's a little collection of my favorite finds so far — I'm loving the new twists on traditional barware and decor. Cheers! — Chelsea from Lovely Indeed
Poketo Brass Bottle Opener
I have totally fallen for these cool brass bottle openers from Poketo. And when you're not using them to open bottles, let them do double duty as decor on your bar cart.
Best Year Wine Stoppers
Cork your wine with your zodiac sign. These crazy wine stoppers are so, so fun. Get the year you were born, or just your favorite animal. Mine would be the rooster, for sure.
Cylinder Flute
For a departure from the traditional, I think these sleek champagne flutes fit the bill. They'd look gorgeous all lined up on a bar cart or housing tools like swizzle sticks.
Trail Mix It Up Bowl
There is absolutely no way I'm going to be able to resist this adorable nut bowl! I dare you to put this on a bar cart and not have your guests fawn over it.
The Draper End Table, Natural Ostrich
For my money, the coolest place to shop for bar carts right now is Society Social. I love The Draper, a simple, chic table that you can customize with faux croc, ostrich or python upholstery.
Modern Artwork
Don't forget some art to hang about your cart! Mad Men–related or not, I'm totally in love with this print.
Gold Ribbons Drinking Glass
These Gold Ribbons glasses from DwellStudio will add a ton of sparkle — and class — to your cart. I'd love sipping from these instead of a plain old rocks glass.
Spear Print Tray
This Spear Print tray is too fabulous to pass up! Use it to display glassware or organize garnishes, or just set it on your cart and let people "ooh" and "aah" over it.
Capuchine Decanter
If you love wine as much as I do, consider putting a cool decanter on your cart. This fun Capuchine decanter from Jonathan Adler covers form and function all in one!
Amber Mombasa Napkins
Have some napkins handy to clean up any stray drops. I'm loving the color and pattern combinations in this (very affordable) set of four.
Hexa Stacking Wine Rack
If your cart doesn't have a built-in wine rack, grab this one from Crate & Barrel. I love the hexagon pattern.
Mrs. Lilien's Cocktail Swatchbook
If you're not a genius with a mixer, grab this brilliant cocktail book. It will make mixing a breeze, and the colors and graphics are just to die for. I can't wait to grab one for myself.
Paper Straws, Polka Blue
If you've got drinks that need sipping, pop in some cute paper straws. You see tons of stripes, but I love these little polka dots — just a little more unusual.
Gessato Glass Pitcher
My next batch of margaritas is definitely going into this guy. It'll also look great nestled onto a bar cart while it's waiting to do its job.
Caprice Ice Bucket
What's a bar cart without an ice bucket? Trina Turk has some gorgeous choices, but I especially love the colors on this one.
Capa Tongs
If you've got an ice bucket, don't forget the tongs. Isn't this set glamorous? I love the irregular stripes on the handles.
Hoshi Table Lamp
If you need a little light in your space, a bar cart is the perfect place for a table lamp. I love the texture and color here — that green is so fresh and happy.
Celestial Coaster Set, Violet
Include some coasters that are bordering on art. These Celestial coasters are so, so pretty.
Square Hermetic Bottle
These hermetic bottles can be so handy on a bar cart! Use them to pre-mix batches of your favorite drink for a party, or give a concoction as a hostess gift. Keep them lined up on your bar cart for a pretty touch.
