Clever Ways to Hide the Bar
Prohibition may have ended quite a few decades ago, but sometimes a teetotaling attitude sneaks in and makes us feel we should conceal our spirits. Perhaps it's nostalgia for the excitement of bootlegging and speakeasies.
While I'm not advocating making moonshine in your bathtub, there's something to be said for tucking away your bottles and barware. Perhaps it's because I'm a bit tired of all the fabulous bar carts styled in home decor spreads lately, each bottle obviously picked for the pleasing graphics on its label rather than its contents. You get the feeling that the person who lives there has arranged it so meticulously that they'd have a fit if someone actually mixed a cocktail and thus changed the level of the liquid inside. Enough is enough, perhaps it's time to put the bottles back in the closet. Or a more stylish and clever spot, as you'll see below...
