Craftsman Style
Craftsman detailing was a natural choice for this couple's farmland retreat. The owners wanted a home wide open to the surrounding views, full of sunlight, and perfect for entertaining. The center of this house is a single open living/dining/kitchen space that flows into an open porch at the back and a screened porch just off of the kitchen. A rooftop deck over the screened porch has been a big hit with overnight guests.Learn more about how better design makes your home a more fulfilling plac...
KellCraft Designed and Built this craftsman back porch to match the homes existing detail to include, basalt foundation and pedestals, column, trim and rafter detail, historic doors, tongue and groove eaves and ceilings, period lighting, and sand finish concrete and patio. This is street view of restored Ballard Craftsman. Original entry stair, balcony, door and railing were missing, and rebuilt. Our period design with cut-outs in railing does not match original. Exterior colors are Benjamin Moore "Mountain Lane" for body and "Barely Yellow" for trim. David Whelan photo
I especially like the way the look and feel of the exterior and interior are tied together so well. This home has been one of the most popular we have built. Enjoy!
