Books: Libraries, Reading Rooms, Book Nooks...
Books on every inch of wall space...my kind of space...
"Cubby" like shelves like this would be do-able in the cabin...
This is a wonderful use of space...
Another office/library space...
Inviting...
Another raised library space creates a room within a room while keeping the space open...
I love these chairs...even in red...such a cozy nook here to snuggle in with a good read...
This is far too dark for my personal comfort, but it has the right elements.
Cozy but bright and light...
Oh, my, yes...
Reading and napping...2 of my favorite activities...
An artist's library...a space after my own heart...
Here's another view...
Quaint and cozy...
This is what I expect the dividing wall between the bedroom and living room in the cabin to look like...eventually...
Sigh...oh, for an actual library space in my home...I like these chairs with their quirky zebra upholstered backs...I'd probably do the entire chair in the zebra print rather than leaving the dull brown seats...I think I might finish the wood in antique silver as well...and the floors would be limestone, and the walls would be either "weathered barn wood" or color washed wood in a pale peacock turquoise-y shade...
Ooooh...
Office and library off the main living space...
Wonderful!
Oh, be still, my heart!!!
Wonderful windows!!
Wonderful!
I love the linen banquette and the Thai rain drums used as tables in this little alcove...a great spot to curl up with a favorite read...
I'm not sure I could embrace this trend of organizing books by color. I actually read and use my books as continual resource material. But this is attractive, none the less.
I love the light in this room...and, of course, the white Scandinavian wood...
I love the visual "space" of this second floor library that is open to the living room below.
