Basement - Green Lower / White Upper Cabinets
This idea book came about because I wanted to find a way to reuse 5 of the 8, 20yo kitchen wall cabinets that are still in decent enough shape and already painted antique white that I could re-purpose for my basement where my framing studio will be located.
Rather paint all the older cabinets antique white, I wanted to bring some color into the room that doesn't have a lot of light considering it is a basement.
I decided I was going to re-purpose at least 5 of the 7 lower 20yo oak cabinets which are still in decent enough shape. I started to paint those green to also bring to my basement.
Saved a lot of money since I couldn't afford to buy new cabinets, even cheap ones that probably wouldn't have been sturdy enough for the use they would get. Will probably reuse the old countertops for the basement including the Formica countertop we currently have on our kitchen island, and use it in the basement to place my large mat cutter for easier access than the folding plastic table I am using now that has no storage at all.
