Nesika Bay
Color Story
This is a custom Pacific northwest contempory home built in 1990. When we bought the home from its first owners in 2003 it had peach-colored carpet and the original coats of pale paint inside and out. Beginning with the exterior we began updating the home with color. I chose Benjamin Moore's Passion Vine green to link the home with its forested setting and complement the red/brown tile roof. Inside, the angles of the contemporary architecture and features such as a niche above the fireplace and a band below the kitchen ceiling begged for color. I worked with a color specialist and a designer over the years to select a pleasing pallette. Interior paints were chosen from Devine Color, a brand designed in the northwest to suit our gray skies, as well as from the Benjamin Moore line.
