In Ground Swimming Pool Dug By Hand/Shovel
My husband and I are going to replicate my Dad's pool. The WALL! This unique swimming pool had many, many years of excitement and joy. Building it ourselves made us so PROUD!
Can you see the WALL? It was an egg shape with a retaining wall separating the 2 1/2 ft. shallow side and the deep end was 12 ft. deep. The “WALL” made all the difference in the world. We were able to walk on it, sit on it, lay on it, dive off of it, leap frog over it. The “WALL” made this pool unique. The “WALL” was right below the tile, making it 2-4 inches under the water. We had a slide but because of the WALL regulations didn't allow a diving board. We didn't need a diving board with the WALL. It did so much more than a diving board. I'll post photos when we do replicate it.
